Through the activities of Gindaja Treatment and Healing Centre we are continuing to help change the lives of people living with trauma and addiction throughout Far North Queensland and beyond.

Aboriginal Health Worker (Identified)

Reporting to the Residential Team Coordinator, the AHW is responsible to provide high quality, primary health care services, general support and health education to Gindaja clients at the Residential Recovery Centre. The AHW may also provide services to clients at Gindaja’s Learning and Wellbeing Centre as well as within the Yarrabah community, as directed/required.

The AHW is part of a dedicated and close-knit team that deliver Gindaja’s 12-week residential program to clients from communities in Yarrabah, Cairns and surrounding districts, FNQ Cape communities as well as people from other states and territories throughout Australia.

Case Management Officer – Women’s Support Team (Identified)

Reporting to the Women’s Support Team Leader, the CMO provides high quality, culturally secure, individual case management, group programs and recreational activities to male clients undertaking Gindaja’s residential program.

CMO’s work as part of a dedicated and close-knit team to deliver Gindaja’s 12-week residential program to clients from communities in Yarrabah, Cairns and surrounding districts, FNQ Cape as well as people from other states and territories throughout Australia.

Case Management Officer – Learning and Wellbeing Centre (Identified)

Positions are open for 2 X Male CMO’s. Reporting to the Learning and Wellbeing Centre Coordinator, the CMO provides high quality, culturally secure, individual, family and group care and support to people accessing the services of the Learning and Wellbeing Centre.

The CMO facilitates one-on-one case management, brief interventions, motivational interviewing and other treatment modalities as required, as well as the delivery of Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) strategies and programs.

Client Programs Officer – Residential Recovery Centre (Identified)

Reporting to the Residential Team Coordinator, the CPO is responsible for facilitating and delivering Gindaja’s range of group Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) programs and services to clients at the Residential Recovery Centre.

CPO’s work as part of a dedicated and close-knit team to deliver Gindaja’s 12-week residential program to clients from communities in Yarrabah, Cairns and surrounding districts, from FNQ Cape communities as well as people from other states and territories throughout Australia.
